Dota 2: The Summit 6 Tournament Gets Underway Today

20141223121131a0dz4ak3w8am33jpDota 2 LAN tournament The Summit 6 starts today and runs until November 20. The event features eight Dota 2 teams competing for a share of the $100,000 prize pool.

Teams who are participating include Wings Gaming, Digital Chaos, Evil Geniuses, OG, Virtus.pro, Team Faceless, EHOME, and Team NP.  The event follows a double elimination, best-of-three format.

So far, Team NP and EHOME have been knocked to the lower bracket after facing against Wings Gaming and Virtus.pro respectively.

Games will start at 10 AM PST each day of the event, and the grand final is scheduled for 1:30 PM PST on November 20 and will be played as a best-of-five series. Matches can be watched live via the BTS Twitch channel.

Previously, The Summit 5 saw Wings Gaming take out first place, OG earn second place, and Team Liquid in third. The tournament ran from July 13-17 in Los Angeles with a $101,044 prize pool.

In other Dota 2 news, The Boston Major is scheduled for December 7-10. It will feature 16 of the world’s best Dota 2 teams competing for a share of the $3 million prize pool.
